FREE PRINTABLE INCLUDED!
I was a little sad that we couldn't have our end of year Field Day at school because of the virus. Instead, we decided to have a field day at home with our best friends. We did races in sibling teams to keep things safer. It was a really fun day. You can have one too with family or friends. You can even play these games by yourself. Scroll down to see all the activities you can do. At the bottom of this post is a page you can print out to help with your planning.
1. SACK RACE
Put a sack on and hop to an end line. You can do this as a regular race or a relay.  We got these sacks, but you could also use garbage bags.

2. THREE LEGGED RACE
Connect your inner leg together to your teammate's using anything that is stretchy and race to an end line. This is great to practice your team work skills.

3. SPOON AND EGG RACE
Put a plastic egg on a spoon and race to an end line trying not to drop the egg. This can be an individual race or a relay. We used some old eggs and spoons we already had.

4. WHEELBARROW RACE
Lift up the other team mates legs and race to an end line. This one was tricky and took lots of strength. There were lots of laughs during this race.

5. BALL TOSS
Arrange some buckets. Try to toss as many balls in the buckets as you can. Each team got a few balls to try. I was able to get 2 out of my 4 balls in.

6. WATER SQUIRTING A TOWER RACE
Stack cups in a tower. Take water guns and squirt down the cups. The first tower to fall wins.

7. FILL THE CUP WITH WATER USING A SPONGE RACE
You will need buckets with water, sponges, and cups. When the race starts, dip the sponge in the water, race to the cup and empty the sponge out by squeezing it. Run back to the bucket and repeat until the cup is filled. This was one of my favorites.

8. TUG-OF-WAR
If you have a rope, tug the rope and try to get the other team past the target.

We ended our field day with sprinklers, water slides, bubbles, and popsicles. We also got to water squirt our parents, which was THE BEST.

It is helpful to have someone starting the races and tracking the points. My mom did this. She also arranged this really fun day with me. Thanks Mom!

Here is the field day sheet we used for planning and tracking the points. You can download and print it out for free if you like.
