Today I am going to teach how to make a bookmark.

I like to use these for my summer reading books. You can also gift them to your family or friends.
You will need
- Flowers or leaves
- Laminate paper or clear thick tape
- String or ribbon
- Scissors
- Punch
- Cutter (optional)

Go to a forest or your garden to pick flowers and leaves. Find things in many different colors and shapes.

Optional step: Dry out the flowers and leaves for a few days. You can do this by putting the flowers in between paper towels and inside a heavy books. I did not do this step.
Arrange flowers or leaves on the sticky laminate paper or tape. Make sure they are as flat as possible.
Picture
Close the laminate paper with the other side of the laminate paper. You can also do this with tape.
Picture
Cut into a rectangle. You can do it about the length of a book.

Picture
Round the edges of the bookmark so that it is not sharp.
Picture
Punch a hole in the bookmark in the  top middle.

Picture
Tie a string or ribbon through the hole.

Now you have a beautiful nature bookmark.

I love how you can see the words through the bookmark.

I hope you enjoy making your own.

Today we mae an ocean art work with shells. Scroll down to see the instructions.
Picture
You need shells, a hot glue gun, paint, sparkles, and a canvas.
Picture
Step 1: Select your shells and glue them onto the canvas using a hot glue gun, (you may have to ask an adult for help as it can be hot).
Step 2: Glue on the sparkles to the canvas.
Step 3: Once the glue is dry, paint the background to look like an ocean or beach.
Step 4: You can also paint your shells with different color paint or color them in using shiny pens.

This is what it looks like.
